The Shri Radharaman Temple represents an unbroken lineage of one of the main six Goswamis of Vrindavan, Gopal Bhatt Goswami, a disciple of Shri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu. Damodar Das Goswami was carefully chosen and initiated by Shri Gopal Bhatt Goswami to continue the worship of Shri Radharaman and guide the devotee community as an initiating Guru after his departure from this world. Following Shri Gopal Bhatt Goswami’s instructions this sacred responsibility has been passed down through the generations of pure Vaishnav descendants of Shri Damodar Das Goswami for almost 500 years.
Exposed to the divine world of the Shri Radharaman Temple and the philosophy of the six Goswamis from a very young age, many inspirational gurus, scholars and poets have appeared in this blessed family. Over the centuries, thousands of devotees, householders and renunciants alike, have received spiritual shelter in Shriji’s family (Shri Radharaman is affectionately known as Shriji) by the grace and guidance of the Vaishnavacharya Goswamis in the Shri Radharaman Temple tradition.
